September 14,2017: The water in Lidder receeding and turning white before time is a clear indication of glacier melting esp kolhai glacier . This will inevitabily lead to a severe water crisis in the times to come, and the state and local society must take the matter seriously. Unless we understand the gravity of the situation and decidedly do something about it, we are in for hard times ahead. The water in river lidder used to clear and pristine around this time of the year but some big hotels in the region who discharge sewage water in Lidder River are causing irreparable damage to the river and its fragile aquatic ecosystem . It's time we think about it and compell others to question these people before its too late.
