September 18,2017: Some people cut healthy branches of green trees and use them on their lands as fence. Women used to garher firewood from forests earlier which they don't do now .. but this new practise is dangerous and when green branches are cut, the trees also dry up eventually. Forests department pahalgam . should take a strict note of this environmentally damaging practise and people should refrain from such practices.
