Happy International Volunteer Day 05 December 2021.

Happy International Volunteer Day

5 December - International Volunteer Day

International Volunteer Day (IVD) is celebrated on 5 December every year. This day provides a chance for volunteers and organisations to celebrate their efforts, values and promote their work among their communities, etc.
The United Nations Volunteers Programme (UNV) coordinates International Volunteer Day on 5 December every year to recognize and promote the tireless work, not just of UN Volunteers, but of volunteers across the globe. Every day, volunteers dedicate time and effort to ensure the inclusion of those often left behind, drive climate action and advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

When people are encouraged to get involved in solving problems, the solutions are more likely to be feasible and lasting. Volunteers engage communities and build a people-centric movement to help build a better and safer future for us all.

For the generations of TOMORROW, we must take responsibility for the changes needed to build a better future NOW. Encouraging, recognizing and promoting volunteerism is an important part of creating a more equal and inclusive future for communities and worldwide.

In the lead-up to #IVD2021, let us celebrate the contributions of the millions who #volunteernow.

World AIDS Day, December 01 is a day to raise awareness of and mourn the more than 32 million people who've lost their lives to the virus.

World AIDS Day,  December 01  is a day to raise awareness of and mourn the more than 32 million people who've lost their lives to the virus.
This year's World AIDS day theme is "End inequalities. End AIDS" which highlights the urgent need to end the inequalities that drive AIDS and other pandemics around the world.

The world commemorates World AIDS Day. People around the world unite to show support for people living with and affected by HIV and to remember those who lost their lives to AIDS.

This World AIDS Day, UNAIDS is highlighting the urgent need to end the inequalities that drive AIDS and other pandemics around the world.

Without bold action against inequalities, the world risks missing the targets to end AIDS by 2030, as well as a prolonged COVID-19 pandemic and a spiralling social and economic crisis.

Forty years since the first AIDS cases were reported, HIV still threatens the world. Today, the world is off track from delivering on the shared commitment to end AIDS by 2030 not because of a lack of knowledge or tools to beat AIDS, but because of structural inequalities that obstruct proven solutions to HIV prevention and treatment.
Economic, social, cultural and legal inequalities must be ended as a matter of urgency if we are to end AIDS by 2030.

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE,ESPECIALLY  WHEN SOMETHING HAS NO CURE
