Sad state of education in our government schools: Who is responsible?

Sad state of education in our government schools: Who is responsible?

November 26,2017: As per govt order middle level goverment schools are closing for winters from 1st week of December but books have not been given to poor school students yet, even as 1 month has passed since declaration of results.
The most unfortunate part is the non availability of text books in government schools after a month when result are declared by education department and this speaks volumes about the irresponsible attitude  of education authorities towards poor school students .
Other side Private institutions declared their results well in time and had geared up to new classes before a month!
With no text books available in government schools /institutions, poor school students are helpless 😔
The state of school education  and the committment of the education minstry towards universalization of education becomes obvious from this. While tall claims are being made and new policies being promulgated every day, the govt's committment and efforts remained confined  only to policy documents while the fate and future of lakhs of students in the state is being blatantly compromised.

Say no to tobacco and

November 22,2017:Our 'Make Pahalgam Smoking-free' movement saw its first success today when the Chief Executive Officer Pahalgam Development Authority CEO, PDA  took note of our objection to smoking inside and near PDA  office and issued an order today, decreeing that any government employee, officer or other people if caught smoking or consuming tobacco products within 100 meters of  Pahalgam Development Office . would be punished and their salary deducted as a fine for the act. We salute the Mushtaq Simnani Shb CEO, PDA for this and hope the order will be duly complied with.

Biomatric Attendance Machine

November 22,2017: The Biometric Attendance Machine, BAM that we had demanded had been installed  by the some government departments in Pahalgam sub division . We welcome the step as  it will ensure justice for those employees who have been sincerely doing their duty while reigning in those who don't. There was a good attendance in the government  departments, but it is ironical that we now see in the some  government departments that these machines BAM are either missing or defunct  within an year! We urge and appeal to all government departments esp all middle, high and Jiger secondary schools should  to immediately have functional ,reinstall and  installation of new  BAMs other institutions without further delay  for better efficiency and punctuality.

Power aaw power goow!

Power Aaw Power Goow!
November 21,2017: The entire population of Pahalgam Sub Division from Seerhamdan To Pahalgam and Srigufwara to Langanbal has been reeling in pitch darkness because of unscheduled load shedding and in somewhere transformers are not working.... while concern administration is sleeping over the matter.
The power deparment fails to ensure timely oil supply for the transformer because of which the transformers get damaged esp in winter times. We appeal to the concerned authorities to get the transformers in Mulhika srourunding villages repaired and working immediately so that the residemnts don't have to face unnecessary hardships in the cold. Students who are appearing for their board exams are also facing a tough time due to lack of proper power supply . There seems to be a total lack of governance in the whole kashmir valley and we urge the concerned officers  to take urgent note of the situation and pay due attention to the problems of the people of the vicinities .

Old Fort Majid Delhi

November 20,2017:
While the government is minting heavy money from entry tickets to our historical monuments, the Archaelogical survey of India is not paying due attention to their maintainence as can be seen in the pics. Even religious sentiments are being hurt, as people are openly allowed to walk in with shoes into the grand and beautiful 'masjid e kuhna' inside the old fort premises. People are taking shoes right upto the mimbar shareef and there's not even a sign board to ask people to take off their shoes.

Muslim boards are equally at fault in this as they have totally ignored the issue all these years, instead of approaching the government . and courts over it.

National Zoological Park Delhi!

November 19,2017: The authorities at National Zoological Parks esp at Delhi should educate and sensitize people about the link between humans and animals, thus enlightening the value of conservation. Animals are kept in small enclosures while people roam around freely, while actually animals should be kept in sanctuary like spaces and people be made to walk in protected barbed paths like in most European countries and in Wildlife parks in Sikkim/Gangtok etc.
Though there are restrictions on feeding animals, I saw recently some visitors/people still irritate and bug the innocent animals, some mock them, some throw empty water bottles on them, disturbing them and interrupting their usual routines. Sad!

Climate Change!

CLIMATE CHANGE
November 10,2017: Climate change has been considering one of the biggest challenges for the mankind. Climate change has brought several negative impacts on the earth's environment.
Green House Gasses (GHGs) and human activities are mainly responsible for the effect of climate change. Green House Gasses (GHGs) consists of gasses like carbon dioxide (CO2), Methane (CH4), etc.
Carbon dioxide gas is released by the use of fossil fuel, burning of firewood. When fossil fuel is burned carbon present in them combines with oxygen to give carbon dioxide. When the amount of Green House Gasses (GHGs) increases in the atmosphere it traps solar heat and doesn't allow it to reflect back. As the result of it, earth's temperature increases and results into climate change.

We want the forest and Wildlife departments to construct water reservoirs under the CAMPA scheme in all forest and wildlife  compartments in state particularly in pahalgam range.

November 10,2017: We want the forest and Wildlife departments to construct water reservoirs under the CAMPA scheme in all forest and wildlife  compartments in state particularly in pahalgam range. Reservoirs suchas these can be filled using 'Rain Water Harvesting' so that in case of emergencies like the recent fire, this water can be used to douse the fire in dry seasons . The recent fire should be used as a lesson to understand that local water reserves are the best and most accessible sources of mitigation of such situations especially in far flung areas where water tankers can not go and arial water spray through helicopters is both difficult and expensive.

Rural sanitation biggest challenge for human health!

November 09 ,2017: We have partly succeeded partly in attaining a certain level of Urban Sanitation but rural sanitation is still lacking and is in shambles in most parts. Rural sanitation needs to be ensured with a sense of urgency, particularly around schools, helath centres , near water bodies... almost in all villages in whole kashmir valley particularly in district Islamabad Ananthnag  where littering and garbage dumping  is commonly seen, putting the health and hygiene of our village people  at risk. I appeal to the All concerned Block Development Officers -BDOs will support us in this regard we have plan to take the matter up and hope  rural development department RDD will extend full support to us in spreading awareness about sanitation in all sensitive places .
We believe all our village/rural  friends  understand the problem and will support us in this regard for spreading awareness and importance about rural  sanitation.

Unregulated cement factories and brick kilns turn hazardous for people ,violate environmental laws!

November 07,2017: Declare deforestation illegal. Cutting trees like chinar and other relevant trees  should be completely banned immediately in valley  . Chinar Tree Census should start soon. Close all Pollution causing manufacturing units from city residential areas like cement factories and brick kilns .

Pollution is already destroyed public health badly. If we will not do anything to stop then the situation will be more worst. Human life is under severe grip Of chemicals. Our food chain is effected through pesticides and breathing is already became worst.

Say Peace Not War!

Say Peace Not War!
November 04,2017: The International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict is observed annually on November 6. The International Day for Preventing the Exploitation of the Environment in War and Armed Conflict was established on November 5, 2001 by the United Nations General Assembly, during Kofi Atta Annan's tenure as Secretary-General. Of this observance Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has since written, "We must use all of the tools at our disposal, from dialogue and mediation to preventive diplomacy, to keep the unsustainable exploitation of natural resources from fueling and financing armed conflict and destabilizing the fragile foundations of peace.

Slute you jnb Zareef Ahmad Zareef Shb

Slute you jnb Zareef Ahmad Zareef Shb! 😍

Chinar Boeen is an important part of our heritage and culture. But in the last 2-3 decades, we have seen how the number of Chinar's in Kashmir has drastically declined. The number of Chinar's was above 40,000, which now is less than 20,000.
We see Chinar's being cut down at so many places and we just turn our head the other way as if it doesn't concern us, but it does! It is our duty to preserve our heritage and environment.

Even if cutting down of Chinar's is necessary for developmental purposes, should not the opinions and views of all the stakeholders i.e., the general public or the representative groups like the civil society, be taken into account and then the final decision be taken, rather than going with the opinion of a person who stands to gain economically out of it.
