MUSHTAQ PAHALGAMI AND TEACHERS FORUM LEADERS ZONE AISHMUQAM ADDRESSES TEACHERS' CIVIL SOCIETY MEET AT PAHALGAM
Pahalgam September 10,2017: Mushtaq Pahalgami, President, Himalayan Welfare Organization, and noted social activist,Mohd Ashraf Mir Shb Zone President Teachers forum Aishmuqam , Dr Zamir Ahmad Bhat Shb,Peer  Shareef Ud Din Shb, Bilal Ahmad Sheikh Shb,Sabzar Ahmad Shb, Master Ashraf Shb and others addressed a teachers' meet at Pahalgam today,  to felicitate the contribution of teachers to society and to address the problems they face as a working community.

Pahalgami and the Himalayan Welfare Organization-HWO  have been consistently working for the cause of promotion of education in the region and have been supporting a number of local schools and madrasas. Pahalgami has also involved school students in the welfare efforts and social campaigns of his organization consistently and is an advocate of the culture of civil society solidarity and activism. The teaching community, he believes can play a major role in shaping public opinions and has duty to inculcate a sense of social responsibility among the youth.
At the event Pahlgami said, in which a  number of members of the local educational community and civil society participated.
It was also decided that a larger conference needs to be held and will be organised shortly, to discuss what role the teaching community can play in mobilization of the wider civil society.
