Happy World Meteorological Day on 23 March.

Happy World Meteorological Day on 23 March.

Despite the challenges and constraints of the Coronavirus pandemic, national meteorological and hydrological services continue to operate 24/7 to protect lives and property. We will celebrate their work today  on World Meteorological Day on 23 March.

The theme this year is Climate and Water and we are twinning with UN-Water and World Water Day (22 March) to highlight the impact of climate change on present and future water resources.

The world now faces increasing challenges posed by water stress, floods and droughts and lack of access to clean supplies. There is an urgent need to improve forecasting, monitoring and management of water supplies and to tackle the problem of too much, too little or too polluted water.

Count every drop. Because every drop counts.

World Meteorological Day on 23rd March 2020.

World Meteorological Day on 23rd March 2020.

March 22,2020:Each year, on 23 March, the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), the worldwide meteorological community, celebrate World Meteorological Day around a chosen theme. The Day commemorates the entry into force, on that date in 1950, of the convention creating the WMO.

The theme for 2020 is ‘Climate and Water’, which will align with the theme of World Water Day 2020, focusing on climate change and water.
The ever growing global population faces a wide range of hazards such as tropical cyclone storm surges, heavy rains, heatwaves, droughts and many more. Long-term climate change is increasing the inttheensity  and frequency of extreme weather and climate events and causing sea level rise and ocean acidification. Urbanization and the spread of mega cities means that more of us are exposed and vulnerable. Now more than ever, we need to be weather-ready, climate smart and water-wise.
It is used to provide the people to get the facilities and service for the people to get the people aware of the World Weather, climate condition .

Reason why we should Keep Our City/Vicinity Neat and Clean.(Part 01)

MORE SPACE WILL BE AVAILABLE

We all know that heap of garbage and waste product that is accumulated on the roadside occupies a lot of space and thus prevents people from utilizing that space for something constructive. This space which is being covered with garbage can be used for parking or for construction purposes. But since, people throw waste over that place, that place remains idle and thus becomes home of all the flies, mosquitoes and various others insects which only bring diseases with them. The place is thus not utilized or used for any fruitful work and becomes a wasteland.
Thus if we want our city/vicinity  to have more space for parking, wider and clean roads and many more advantages of more availability of space, we should keep our city clean and should preach the same to others.

Sustainable Tourism!!!

Sustainable Tourism !!!

July 06,2018:Sustainable tourism, one that establishes a suitable balance between the environmental, economic and socio cultural aspects of tourism development, plays an important role in conserving biodiversity. It attempts to minimize its impact on the environment and local culture so that it will be available for future generations, while contributing to generate income, employment, and the conservation of local ecosystems.
By doing so, sustainable tourism maximizes the positive contribution of tourism to biodiversity conservation and thus to poverty reduction and the achievement of common goals towards sustainable development.
Sustainable tourism provides crucial economic incentives for habitat protection. Revenues from visitor spending are often channeled back into nature conservation or capacity building programmes  for local communities to manage protected areas. Furthermore, tourism can be a key vehicle in raising awareness and fostering positive behavior change for biodiversity conservation among the millions of people travelling the globe every year.
