September 29,2017: As the braid chopping incidents have spread across Kashmir and intensified in southern parts of Kashmir, Mushtaq Pahalgami expressed severe discontent over the government's inability to catch hold of the miscreants. Given the panic that has gripped people esp. young girls, Pahalgami also urged the govt to take strictest possible action in the matter.

Pahalgam's beautiful hospital without full-fledged faculties.
September 28,2017: Pahalgam government hospital has deployment of doctors and is in media gaze only during the yatra period but there hasn't been a single lady doctor in the hospital since the last one year . Pahalgam and its surroundings has a population of over 30,000 who are being made to face immense hardship due to this. This clearly shows the health department 's intent. People want permanent posting of doctors esp lady doctor in the hospital but while doctors and other staff pay bribes to get a summer posting they pay bribes to get a posting away from Pahalgam as there is no scope for making money in winters. If the health department continues to have this attitude they should instead shut this shop up and put a lock on the hospital.

September 24,2017: Those who say they'll wage a war for hundred or thousand years must not forget that no war has ever solved a political issue and India and Pakistan both the countries should instead sit down together with Kashmir and resolve the issue through dialogue so that kashmiri people's suffering wll be end . The western world, also wants India and Pakistan to keep fighting so that they can happily sell arms, run their shops and control the region.
Those who want to wage a war should not forget the immense poverty, inequality and under development the nation is facing and should stop fooling the nation by taking everybody's attention away from these issues by talking about war Kashmir has been facing the consequences of this politics of hate and constructed mistrust more than anybody elase and wants a final and peaceful solution to the issue so that we can also lead normal lives and live in peace and dignity.

September 24,2017 We Himalayan Welfare Organization-HWO team accompanied with members of Nunwanan Welfare Committee (NWC)Went to half dozen houses in my native village Nunwanan Ganieshbal Pahalgam where weddings are due in the October,November and we requested them to limit wedding expenses to a minimum. They accepted our submission and said this is a good initiative given the unnecessary pressure that is caused to the families of girls who are not financially sound. We also urge and appeal to all to help curb this bidat and strive to make a healthy and happy society. We had said we'll start a ground campaign to curb the menance of extravagent weddings and with the will of the almighty we have started off the process this wedding season itself.

September 25,2017: We urge all our friends,Members ,Supporters and office bearers of the Himalayan Welfare Organization-HWO, to engage with their local communities and ensure that extravagent marriage ceremonies are discouraged and dowry is discouraged as a social custom. The drive against dowry can only be successful if each one of us participate in it and support it by boycotting the biddat and discouraging everybody else too.
Given that dowry is the biggest social evil, we should all boycott any family which gives or takes dowry.....
